THE RIDE 2008:

The Ride gets under way at 12:00 pm with a lunch stop-over at 2:00 PM, concluding with a dinner/dance evening filled with music entertainment and fundraising opportunities.

The ride is not an easy ride. Saddle sores, blisters and a few broken bones to name a few…but I always tell people that the arduous process of being diagnosed and going through cancer treatment itself is not easy either.

Riding and raising money for cancer research is a piece of cake!

WHO BENEFITS:

Once again, it is our distinct honor to make The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation our beneficiary. Since its inception in 2001, Riding For A Cure has selected the American Cancer Society and The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation as the recipients of nearly $378,000 from our fundraising efforts.

But the real beneficiaries will be you and me! As I have said countless times in the past, cancer knows no strangers or boundaries and does not discriminate. At some time in your life, you or a loved one will be stricken with cancer. And it is only through research funding that we will find a cure.
