(Wayne, Ill.) - Riding For A Cure (RFAC) is excited to announce
a new feature on the Riding For A Cure website (www.ridingforacure.org)
allowing those who wish to provide ongoing support for cancer
research funding the ability to help at anytime of the year with
a donation in memory of or in honor of a loved one facing cancer.
This new feature allows supporters to recognize a loved one facing
cancer in a special way by honoring them with a monetary donation
towards cancer research.
“Fighting cancer is a 365-day-a-year mission,” said
RFAC founder Christine Gabriel, a four-time cancer survivor. “By
opening the website to accept donations at anytime of the
year, longtime RFAC supporters can send their donation
when most convenient to them."
Riding For A Cure, founded in 2002, by former Arlington Park television
personality and four-time cancer survivor, Christine Gabriel,
is 501 (c) 3 for The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation.
Since the inaugural year, Riding For A Cure has raised nearly
$450,000 towards a quest for a cure for cancer. Each year, riders
and volunteers pony up for a 20-mile trail ride and dinner/dance
to raise money for cancer research.
