(Wayne,
Ill.) Riding For A Cure, a unique equestrian fundraising organization
in Illinois raising funds for The University of Chicago Cancer
Research Foundation has established a new partnership with the
Midwest’s premier horse show facility, Lamplight Equestrian
Center, located 35-miles west of Chicago on Dunham Road in Wayne
Illinois.
The Owner’s of Lamplight, Steve Cooper and Tom Moxley find
the partnership with Riding For A Cure to be beneficial for both
parties. “We have been searching for the right event to
benefit The University of Chicago. When approached by Riding For
A Cure, we were just thrilled to partner up. It’s a natural
fit.” said Mr. Cooper. Tom Moxley feels “this unique
equestrian event will have a huge impact on the fundraising side.
This ongoing fight to beat cancer will certainly be helped by
the two groups coming together.”
“We are incredibly thrilled and energized that Lamplight
Equestrian Center has joined Riding For A Cure to support the
search for the cure of cancer,” said Christine Gabriel,
founder, Riding For A Cure. “Lamplight is a premier show
facility that will enable us to expand our reach in the equestrian
community by involving passionate riders who want to fight cancer
the best way they know how, with their horse. This type of sponsorship
from Lamplight takes Riding For A Cure to a new level of awareness
in its fundraising efforts to support The University of Chicago
Cancer Research Foundation,” Ms. Gabriel continued.
Dedicated riders who use the show grounds and the surrounding
equestrian community of Wayne will join forces with the established
riders of Arlington Park for the event. Riding For A Cure is a
20-mile ride and a dinner/dance to raise money for cancer research
benefiting The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation.
